The Lich King Falls to Rotten!

A true tribute to the skill and commitment of Rotten's 10 man progression team, the Lich King has fallen. A new legion of Rotten Kingslayers has risen! Though, Icecrown Citadel has not seen the last of us.



The Lich King encounter is a lot of fun, in all 5 phases. This is definitely not a fight you get lucky and one shot. Each night we learned and improved our strategy for new phases of the encounter. Once we had consistently reached phase 5 and employed a new strategy to manage Vile Spirits, the encounter suddenly felt trivialized. In the end, our Lich King kill was a flaweless victory.

I want to give mention to all team members who played a role in securing this kill. Whether they were the original core members or one of our many talented backup members, this victory is shared.

What can I say...awesome work. I'm glad he's down because my voice was going hoarse from talking through that encounter lol.

Guild rankings will update tonight and we should be the 35th top guild on the server, that's pretty cool..especially since we're a bunch of casuals. On to hard modes!

The collective sigh of relief last night was felt by all i'm sure. People probably thought it was the Santa Ana's or El Nino is back...

But in all seriousness...congrats and thank you to everyone that stuck it out. We had some hard going nights there and I'm impressed we didn't have any "fall out" of the weekly grind. Thanks to the old Rotten members that came back to down him. Thanks to all the "new" Rotten people that brought their A games - we couldn't have done it without everyone!

I know we're casual and all...but I'm feeling pretty leet today - anyone else?

Really want to congratulate all of rotten's member's that contributed to the clearing up until lich king as well as his inevitable demise. Enough can't be said of the sacrifice by those that sat out. Remember, your next...we will get all the raid team member's their titles. Thanks to one and all that roughed it out over the past weeks to grind it out. It went 10 rounds....but we came out with a knockout in the end. I am very impressed, there was not one "ugh lets give it up" it was all "I can't wait till tue/thur". Well done ladies and gentlemen....well done!
