It's been a while since our last announcement, and our homepage is looking a bit stale. So I thought I'd take a moment to provide a short update on where we've been, and where we're going.
Somewhere between patch 3.1 and 3.2 a lot of things changed for Rotten. For starters, summer happened and a lot of our members took vacation, summer jobs or just decided to get outside and enjoy life. Some of us became parents for the first time. Some of us started school, or continued school. And for the most part, our once highly active progression raiding guild grew smaller, and smaller... and smaller. Till eventually, the core raiders who were determined to continue progression joined friends in other guilds, or in some cases, members and officers just tired of years of grinding out WoW found this to be a good time to retire.
Today Rotten is a much smaller guild than a year ago, tightly-knit as ever before. Our remaining members are friends, family and the type of core members this guild was founded on. Slowly forging our way through battlegrounds, arena and raids by any means. Grasping on to progression as our personal lives permit. We are few, though we are strong. And, for Icecrown Citadel we are ready!
While I do not expect that Rotten will ever again aspire to sustain full guild 25 man raiding, we have set our sights on 10 mans and are determined to bring forth the final fate of the Lich King Arthas
come 3.3. Additionally, many of our members continue to fight for arena title glory. And beyond that, guild leveling and the return of battleground ranking will awaken our once dominating forces of PvP combat when the
Cataclysm erupts!
So while a lot has changed for Rotten and we've been pretty quiet these past months, we've had our rest and we will rise again to finally defeat the Lich King, Arthas. We plan to run 10 man raids, and will recruit accordingly.
